Who
The WFL is open to players aged 18 and above.
If your team has a player who is under 18 but close to turning 18, please contact the organiser to request dispensation for that player to participate.
Our goal is to create an inclusive space that encourages greater participation in women’s sport and builds a fun, social and supportive environment for everyone. We are an inclusive league that supports the LGBTQIA+ community. Non-binary and trans players are welcome and encouraged to play and connect through sport.
What to wear
Please wear the same coloured t-shirt as your other team members so the players and ref can tell which team the players are on. Other clothing items are not required to match (bibs will be available if required).
Shin guards are not compulsory but encouraged. Please remove any personal items that may injure other players.
Footwear:
Wear any closed shoes. Flat-soled indoor soccer or futsal shoes are best. Rubber soles help prevent slipping. Running shoes are fine, but their cushioning can reduce ball control. Do not wear cleats or studded boots.
